  • Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has unofficially announced Harry Kane as the club's new signing
  • The veteran forward took to Instagram to tease fans about the imminent acquisition of the Englishman
  • Kane is in Germany for his medicals and could make his Bayern debut against RB Leipzig on Saturday

Thomas Muller seems to have confirmed Bayern Munich's successful acquisition of star signing Harry Kane.

The transfer saga involving Kane, Tottenham Hotspur, and Bayern Munich has been a prolonged one, with the German powerhouse facing multiple rejections before finally clinching the deal this week.

As reported by the BBC, Bayern and Spurs reached an agreement exceeding 100 million euros (£86.4 million) for the 30-year-old striker on Thursday. The decision to proceed with the transfer was left in Kane's hands.

But it appears Kane, renowned for being Tottenham's all-time leading scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances, has reportedly completed his medical examination and has officially signed his contract with the Bavarian club, according to Sky Sports.

The 30-year-old forward, who was just 48 goals shy of surpassing Alan Shearer's record as the highest scorer in Premier League history, might even make his debut for Thomas Tuchel's team as early as Saturday, August 12th, when Bayern takes on RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup.

Interestingly, before the official announcement from the club regarding Kane's transfer, seasoned forward Thomas Muller took to the photo-sharing platform Instagram to declare the deal unofficially.

He wrote: "What a blockbuster transfer. A warm welcome to Harry Kane at this point."

Harry Kane given odd advice

Meanwhile, ex-England striker Michael Owen’s transfer advice to Harry Kane has come back to bite him as fans pointed out an interesting contradiction.

Tottenham have reportedly finally budged on their Harry Kane stance as the club reportedly accepted a £86.4m from the Bavarians for the 30-year-old striker.

Moments after The Athletic reported a deal in principle had been agreed between the two clubs, Owen took to social media platform X to offer some advice to Kane as he subtly dug at the Bundesliga in the process.

Guardiola reacts to Kane's transfer

Sports Brief also reported that Pep Guardiola was left speechless after he learnt there was a likelihood that Harry Kane could join Bayern Munich this summer.

The Spanish tactician was caught unawares and his reaction was priceless as he sought to understand if the deal was already official.
