Cristiano Ronaldo showed his Real Madrid teammates just how special winning the tenth UEFA Champions League for the Spanish club meant after gifting each one a Bulgari wristwatch.
Los Blancos won their 10th and the historic La Decima title in the 2013/14 season after a gap of 12 years, beating their city rivals Atletico Madrid 4-1 in the final.
According to Sports Illustrated, Ronaldo decided to adorn the wrists of his club’s teammates with personalised Bulgari watches, each costing about $10,209, to celebrate the UCL win.
Each watch is engraved with the player's name and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner's initials and jersey number, in case they forget who it came from.
Ronaldo won four Champions Leagues, two La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, three UEFA Super Cups and three Club World Cups during his nine-year stint at Real Madrid before joining Juventus in 2018 on a three-year deal.
Ronaldo sets Instagram record
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the most followed human being on the planet after the Al Nassr forward reached 600 million followers on the social media platform Instagram, AS Soccer reports.
The latest record set by the Portugal icon shows how popular and influential Ronaldo has become in the football circle and the world in general.
Ronaldo stands his chance to win his first title with his new club Al Nassr after they it through to the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup against Al Hilal, with the Portugal scoring four goals in the process.
