Jurgen Klopp has learnt when to recant his words when he was questioned over his old statement regarding huge player transfer fees in 2016.
Manchester United paid a world record £89m for Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016 and Klopp was not too impressed with spending such money on any player.
According to Metro UK, Klopp was quoted saying:
"If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney. The day that this is football, I’m not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together.

The Athletic reports that Liverpool and Brighton have reached an agreement over a British record transfer fee of £111m for midfielder Moises Caicedo, despite Chelsea spending months as frontrunners.
The German boss, during his press conference ahead of facing Chelsea on Sunday, confirmed the agreement but added nothing is done on the player's side. He also admitted he was wrong with his assessment of Pogba's move.
"Everything changed. Do I like it? No. Did I realise I was wrong? Definitely, that’s the way it goes. It’s not great, it’s not top, but it’s the way it goes," he said.
The deal is not done yet as Chelsea are not giving up in pursuit of the Ecuadorian, having agreed personal terms with the player, who is in London waiting for the move.

FootballSports Brief analysed how Liverpool could line up with Caicedo in Jurgen Klopp's favoured 4-3-3 formation or a tweaked 4-2-3-1 version.
The 21-year-old will operate in the base of midfield behind Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, while he can also play in a double pivot with his former Brighton mate while the Hungarian plays an advanced role.
