Real Madrid’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe has hit a massive roadblock again as the 24-year-old forward has reportedly decided to remain with Paris Saint-Germain this season.

The French forward has been strongly linked with a move to the Spanish giants in the biggest transfer saga of the summer and has refused to entertain a move to Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal.

According to Sport Bible, Mbappe has decided he will stay at PSG beyond this summer and will see out the rest of his contract, which is set to expire at the end of this season.

The 24-year-old forward’s decision has been described as 'final' - meaning it is now up to the Ligue 1 champions whether to re-integrate him into the main squad after banishing him to the B team.

Mbappe is said to have told PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, of his decision to stay until 2024 and was told that his playing time would be limited this term ahead of his departure.

Meanwhile, PSG will not cower on their decision to freeze Mbappe out of their first-team squad after the striker’s refusal to leave the club, Eurosport reports.

Without their star involved, the French club have started a rebuild under new manager, Luis Enrique, after Christophe Galtier failed to conquer Europe.

However, Mbappe has not been shaken of his intention to see out his current deal with PSG before leaving the Ligue 1 champions for free in the summer of 2024.
