FootballJuventus Fans Invade Pitch Chanting Against Romelu Lukaku’s Signing
- Juventus wrapped up their pre-season games with an 8-0 win over their Next Gen team
- The fans had other motives throughout the match as they chanted no to Romelu Lukaku
- Juve fans also invaded the Allianz Stadium pitch after the game with the same message
Romelu Lukaku's proposed move to Juventus may be all but over now after the recent show of disdain towards him by the fans after their final pre-season game.
Juventus beat their Next Gen team 8-0 in front of their fans at the Allianz Stadium, but of more importance than the result was their protest against an incoming signing.
According to The Guardian, the Old Lady have proposed a swap move to Chelsea involving Dusan Vlahovic, but the Blues' lack of conviction in the Serbian and the financial demands are holding the deal back.
Lukaku also turned down a move to his favoured Inter Milan despite the Nerazzurri agreeing on a deal with the Blues and has now set his heart on their rival, which has offended the club's supporters.
Juve fans protest against Lukaku
As noted by Forza Juve, the fans chanted 'no' to the signing of the Belgian striker throughout the game as the club's board continues to work behind the scenes to secure his services.
They took it a step further by invading the pitch after the game with the same chant against the former Manchester United star, mainly because it sends out a promising 23-year-old striker.
The 30-year-old resumed at Cobham today to begin individual training away from the group after he was excluded from the club's plans for next season. His number 9 jersey has also been left vacant.
There certainly does not seem to be a way to Turin for Lukaku now and his only option appears to be Saudi Arabia, who have tabled a lucrative offer to him, despite him wanting to continue in Europe.
