Jose Mourinho won the internet with a hilarious farewell message to one of his players, who has agreed a deal to move to Saudi Arabia.
Roger Ibanez is set to depart the Italian capital after three years, with reports claiming he will join Al-Ahli.
The 24-year-old leaves after playing 149 times for Roma and the Italian giants are set to make a considerable profit in the transfer as they only acquired him for €9M from Atalanta in 2019.
Reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, claim Al-Ahli will pay Roma €28.5M for Ibanez, which includes €3M add-ons.
Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest were also keen on signing Ibanez, but it looks like they were outbid by Al Ahli.
Mourinho’s parting message
On Monday, August 7, Mourinho took to his Instagram with a hilarious message, bidding goodbye to one of his more consistent players.
“Be happy ‘garoto.’ I know you will miss me.” Mourinho stated.
“Now you can pay a proper dinner to me and my staff. Enjoy Saudi Arabia.”

Recently, Mourinho weighed in on the recent resurgence of the Saudi Arabia top flight as he revealed he had received offers from two clubs from the Middle East.
"I’ve received two proposals: Al Hilal and Al Ahli wanted me, I decided to turn both down as I want to stay at Roma”, he told Corriere dello Sport , per The Mirror.

Morata’s message to Mourinho
Sports Brief also reported on Alvaro Morata’s message to Jose Mourinho, who previously managed him at Real Madrid.
Morata has been Roma's biggest target this summer, but a deal between the two clubs may not materialize. Morata and Atletico have been on their pre-season tour of Mexico, and the striker's name is still hitting the back pages.
Speaking in Mexico, Morata ruled out a move to The Italian side, saying he's happy with the team at the moment. However, he said the transfer market is unpredictable, throwing his future in the air.
