Neymar Junior's club future has been a subject of keen interest, following reports that he had expressed a desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
L'Equipe's report about the Brazilian forward seeking to depart the French capital came at a time when the club was primarily occupied with the transfer saga of Kylian Mbappe.
More recently, however, Neymar's father has spoken to the media about the speculation and attempted to clear the air about his son's future with the Parisians.
Neymar father's reacts to transfer rumours
Neymar Senior, a Brazilian businessman and entrepreneur who also serves as his son's agent, appears to be displeased with the reports.
Speaking to Premier League Brasil in an exclusive interview, he was translated as saying:
"I can't confirm news that didn't happen. L'Equipe being L'Efake. The alleged information came from somewhere; let's try to understand the intention."
Reports surrounding Neymar's club football future have lingered all summer.
The winger has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League clubs, while CBS Sports reported he was also made an offer by Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal.
PSG have also stated they will not stand in the way of the Brazilian if they receive a good enough offer, despite their star being contracted until the summer of 2025.
The Parisians are also shifting from their previous 'individual-centric' project to more of a team-based effort after the appointment of Luis Enrique as coach.
The former Spain national coach is not believed to be counting on Neymar and would not be overly concerned if the French club scratch him off their books.
