FootballJorginho: Arsenal Midfielder Could Reportedly Quit Club After Just 7 Months
- Jorginho is reportedly keen to quit Arsenal this summer
- The Italian joined the Gunners from Chelsea during the January transfer window
- Turkish side Fenerbahce are believed to be keen on the Italian's services
Jorginho could reportedly quit Arsenal this summer, barely seven months after joining the north Londoners.
The Italian midfielder swapped Chelsea for the Gunners during the January transfer window in a stunning move.
According to The Sun, the Gunners forked out £12million to land the Italian international from Stamford Bridge.
However, Jorginho has struggled to leave a mark since his arrival, registering just one assist with zero goals in 16 appearances for the Emirates club.
Reports now claim that the ex-Chelsea star could be on his way out of the newly-crowned Community Shield winners.
It is believed that the arrival of Declan Rice from West Ham United has added further competition for the Italian in the middle of the park.
Rice joined Arsenal in a British transfer record deal worth £105m and is sure to start ahead of Jorginho.
Which club can Jorginho join?
Apparently, the 31-year-old will not fall short of transfer options, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce believed to be the leading contenders for his services.
Turkish outlet TRTSPOR has since claimed that the star wants to leave the Emirates.
The development comes barely days after Mikel Arteta spoke highly of the Italian, saying:
“Jorginho is a phenomenal character, he’s got so much experience," he said.
“Everybody respects and loves him in there and he’s a particular character as well and he’s been really, really, really good for us," he added.
