Veteran football fans will be familiar with the name 'Hulk' - a Brazilian footballer known for his frightening strength and power.
Hulk, whose real name is Givanildo Vieira de Sousa, still leaves fans baffled at how he did not play for any club in Europe’s top five leagues in his prime.
Now 37, he is seeing out the twilight years of his career in his native Brazil with Atletico Miniero, a club he has played for since 2021.
He recently showed the world that he still has it with an outrageous free kick from 40 yards out in a league game.
Atletico Miniero took a trip to Sao Paolo, where Hulk proved to be the inspiration for his side’s 2-0 victory thanks to his thunderous spot kick, as seen by GOAL.
In the fourth minute, the away side got a free kick and it would seem like an impossible task to beat the wall and the goalkeeper from that distance.
However, it appeared no one gave Hulk the memo as he struck a powerful shot which beat everyone and buried itself into the net.
The strike instantly went viral on social media.
