Atletico Madrid head into the new season on the back of an impressive second half of the 2022/23 La Liga season that saw them finish just a point behind second-placed Real Madrid.
Los Colcheneros have wrapped up their transfer activities quickly this summer, having secured the signings of Celta Vigo’s left-back Javi Gallan, Chelsea’s Ceasar Azpilicueta, and Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu, amongst others.
Having had a fairly decent pre-season tour in the United States, the club is gearing up for its season opener against newly promoted side Granada CF.
Away from the footballing activities, it is the recent act of forward Antoine Griezmann that has left many rolling on the floor.
The forward tried out a hilarious stunt when he tried to throw the football at one of the club’s training sessions.

In a video posted by ESPN FC on TikTok, the French World Cup winner is seen trying out a unique combination of skills from other sports while trying to throw the football.
The 32-year-old attacker takes steps backwards, spinning like a discus thrower before eventually throwing the football.
The video of Greizmann has been met with hilarious reactions and overall fans have admired the forward’s sense of humour.
The attacker recorded a staggering 13 goals and 12 assists through the 2022/23 La Liga season, per reports from Infogol, and will be looking to improve these numbers and hopefully secure his first La Liga title with Atletico Madrid.

In a previous report, Sports Brief stated that Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have named Greizmann as a potential transfer target.
