Lucas Ribeiro Costa is settling into South African culture quickly.
The Brazilian player signed for Mamelodi Sundowns during the current transfer window and has already slotted into the side with ease.
Not only did Costa already play his first DStv Premiership game for the side, but he also fits in well with the rest of the dressing room.
A video from the champions' changing room recently showed how Masandawana’s players are ingraining Costa in the local culture.
While Costa may know about Brazilian Samba, the South African Brazilians are teaching him about the ways of 'Bafana Ba Style'. In the video, Sundowns players can be seen singing and dancing in the dressing room before Aubrey Modiba pulls Costa into the middle of the circle.
When Costa returns to the circle's edge, striker Peter Shalulile takes over teaching duties as he shows Costa what to do with his hands.
Fellow new signing Junior Mendieta also got in on the action. The Argentinian previously played for Stellenbosch and has some experience with South Africa flair.
While Costa hasn't been in the country long, he has previously spoken about how excited he was to experience Sundowns' culture, something he is getting in full force now.
A memorable debut for Costa
Costa and Mendieta both made their debuts for the Brazilians in the DStv Premiership during the game against Sekhukhune United.
While Mendieta came off the bench, Costa started the game and also scored his first goal for the club, News24 confirmed.
4 Brazilians signed by Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns are no strangers to buying players from South America.
Nicknamed the Brazilians for the colour of their football kit, they have also brought in a few players from the country itself.
