Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum says he is proud of his team despite their painful exit from the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Chloe Kelly sent England into the quarter-final after Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie missed from the spot.

“I am proud of my team. I want to stay with this team and continue working towards the Olympics. But that is not a matter for me to decide,” said Waldrum during the post-match presser.

Waldrum revealed that his players were heartbroken but the attention will immediately switch to the Olympic Games qualifiers.

“My players are in tears right now,” he said.
“They [the Nigerian Football Federation] would have to do it pretty quick, especially with the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifiers coming up,” he added, referring to his contract with the federation.

England will face the winner of the game between Colombia and Jamaica, as reported by Yahoo Sports.
