- Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the greatest footballer of all time
- The five-time Ballon d'Or winner shares this accolade with eternal nemesis Lionel Messi
- But his teammate at Al-Nassr believes he stands tall among the pantheons of greats
Anderson Talisca, the Al-Nassr teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo, has bestowed upon the Portuguese legend the title of the "greatest" player in the history of football.
Talisca, who had a fairly-decent stint in Europe before joining Al-Nassr, expressed his admiration for Ronaldo after spending half a season alongside him since the latter's January transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Despite being Brazilian, the 29-year-old firmly believes that Cristiano surpasses all others in the discussion of the "greatest" footballers of all time, a distinction often shared with long-time rival Lionel Messi.
The former Besiktas star shared his thoughts on CR7, refuting the commonly perceived arrogance and self-centeredness associated with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, revealing a contrasting and humble side to the football icon.
Furthermore, Talisca expressed his delight in being able to play alongside Ronaldo, relishing the opportunity to be on the same team as the football maestro.
“Cristiano is a very humble, humane and calm person. For me, Cristiano is the greatest player in football. Playing with him in the same team is a very great achievement,” he said as quoted by CR7 Timeline on Twitter.
