Saudi Government set to make bid for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe
FootballKylian Mbappe: PSG Star to Train With Team’s Undesirable Until Future Gets Resolved
- Kylian Mbappe’s future remains far from settled
- The forward has expressed his desire not to extend his current contract
- PSG has since ostracised the forward from its main squad
Kylian Mbappe’s chance of returning to the main fold of Paris Saint Germain’s team appears to dwindle by the minute.
The French forward remains ostracised from the main squad of the Ligue 1 champions after he earlier sent a letter stating his desire not to extend his contract at the club beyond the summer of 2024.
Based on the latest updates from RMC Sports, it seems that the relationship between the forward and the club has irreversibly deteriorated. Any hopes of the forward rejoining the main PSG team have been completely ruled out.
It appears paradoxical given the forward who was excluded from the club’s Japanese tour list only last week triggered the contract condition that leaves him entitled to a significant ₤60 million loyalty bonus for staying with the club beyond July 31.
Having a player of Mbappe's calibre on their wage bill and consigning him to play for the team's reserve is something PSG simply cannot afford.
Mbappe’s immediate future
Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the Qatari hierarchy are in a race against time to resolve the forward’s future.
The club had initially accepted a ₤300 million transfer fee for the forward from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal – a club which Mbappe refused to negotiate personal terms with.
The French captain looks set to continue his football in Europe and has been reported to have agreed a verbal contract with Real Madrid.
Whilst the Spanish giant remains calm on the ongoing saga, reports from Goal have not ruled out a late and seemingly insulting transfer fee from Real Madrid for the signature of the forward.
It should be noted that the current situation of Mbappe remains a waiting game that favours only Real Madrid.

FootballPSG reporting Madrid to FIFA?
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on PSG contemplating a complaint with FIFA over allegations that Real Madrid was unfairly in contact with Mbappe.
The Parisians believe the French superstar has secretly reached an agreement with the Spanish giants to join them on a free transfer next summer.
FIFA strictly prohibits any communication between players and other clubs or any agreements beyond six months before contract expiration.
