Kylian Mbappe remains firm on his decision not to extend his stay at Paris Saint Germain beyond the summer of 2024.
In a letter sent to the club’s hierarchy in the first week of June, the forward made known his desire not to extend.
Seemingly angered by Mbappe’s decision, the club set an ultimatum of July 31st for the forward to extend his current deal or risk being sold to the highest bidder.
PSG appeared to have compromised a little with reports from Marca stating the club has extended the ultimatum issued to the forward.
PSG sets new Mbappe deadline
During the unveiling of new coach Luis Enrique, President Nasser Al Khelaifi made clear the club’s goal was to meet resolve Mbappe’s future before July 31.
Specifically stating on July 5 that a solution to the forward’s situation has to be found within 10 days or two weeks at the latest.
Quoted by Marca, the president said: "We are not going to let him go free, it is impossible"
With the set ultimatum now exceeded, the French club have set what is believed to be their final deadline to resolve the forward’s future for Tuesday, August 8.
Mbappe who is reported to have reached a verbal agreement with Spanish club Real Madrid for a transfer in the summer of 2024 has remained calm about his future, despite being left out of the club’s pre-season tour to Japan.

The Parisians believe the French superstar has secretly reached an agreement with the Spanish giants to join them on a free transfer next summer.
FIFA strictly prohibits any communication between players and other clubs or any agreements beyond six months before contract expiration.
