- The goalkeeper was caught out by a long-range effort during their friendly game against Lens
- Fans reacted to the goal, with rival fans tearing into Erik ten Hag's new acquisition.
Fans were sent into a meltdown after Andre Onana conceded a long-range effort during Manchester United's friendly game against Lens at Old Trafford on August 5.
Onana, who is still settling into his new surroundings after joining from Inter Milan, was caught out by Floran Sotoca, who lobbed the ball from way out to give the French side the lead.
The Cameroon goalkeeper, whose standout abilities include playing the ball with his feet, attempted to race back to keep the effort out but was a little bit late as the ball nestled into the back of the net.
Fans were quick to jump onto the ridiculous goal by trolling the new Red Devils' number one, who was way off his line as the ball was hit. Diogo Dalot was also, however, at fault for a misplaced pass to turn over possession.

"He's now playing in the Premier League and should be cautious of how he rushed out. I'm a Man United fan, but he will concede a lot with this act of playing!"
@MarvinAbbey said;
"Onana is having a torrid time! In his first 3 games, he has been… Chipped by Bellingham, Bicycle kick by Joselu and Chipped from the halfway line by Sotoca."
@Ciarcalin said;
"This must be the fastest a goalkeeper has ever adjusted his socks out of shame after conceding."
Manchester United, however, quickly responded to the setback by scoring three quick second-half goals through Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro.

FootballMason Mount misses open chance
Sports Brief has also reported that Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount found himself on the wrong side of the club’s fan base after a horrific miss during his side’s friendly against RC Lens on Saturday, August 5.
After some intricate passing, United youngster Alejandro Garnacho found himself through on goal, but the angle was a bit tight and he decided to square the ball to Mount, who had also made the run forward.
Mount was expected to tap the ball in, with the goalkeeper in no man’s land, but the former Chelsea ace somehow fluffed his angles and completely missed the shot, scuffing his effort to allow RC Lens to break out.
