FootballFIFA Women’s World Cup: Mystic Meerkats Predict Nigeria vs England Round of 16 Clash
- Nigeria vs England will decide who will go through to the quarter-final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup
- The Super Falcons will face off with the Three Lionesses at the Brisbane Football Stadium, Brisbane, Australia, on Monday morning
- A group of meerkats have predicted that England will defeat the Africans in that massive fixture
A set of mystic meerkats have predicted the outcome of the FIFA Women’s World Cup clash between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Three Lionesses of England.
Both teams take on each other in a much-anticipated Round of 16 clash inside the Brisbane Football Stadium, Brisbane, Australia, on Monday morning.
It was gathered that some Meerkats at the Drusillas Park in Sussex predicted that England would defeat Nigeria when both sides meet.
Two buckets were used to suggest the possible outcome with each team’s flag on each, as the meerkats chose to eat from the one they preferred.
The bucket with the most meerkats surrounding it wins.- they went to the bucket with England flag.
Head Keeper Gemma Romanis said via ITV:
“We’ve been doing this for a while now, and the meerkats get so excited when they see us setting it up – even our new baby, Reggie, who is only a couple of months old, was in on the action.
“They sometimes take a while to settle on a decision with interest in each of the buckets, but today they are full of optimism and went straight for England, and Nigeria barely got a look in.
“We also gave them some footballs to play with, and being naturally curious and playful, they had a great time rolling them around – although their ball skills aren’t exactly note-worthy, and they should probably stick to predicting rather than playing!”
This will be the second time the Falcons and England will meet at the Women’s World Cup.

FootballHow Nigeria can beat England - Ijeh
Sports Brief earlier reported that former Nigerian international, Peter Ijeh, has analysed how the Super Falcons can successfully take on England in their Round of 16 clash at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Ijeh, a manager at a top club in Sweden, said an offensive transition is essential to keeping up the momentum for the West African during the encounter.
Delving more into the Super Falcons' phase of play, he believes the team has succeeded with a low block-out of possession tactics in holding off the pressure, including sacrificing the attack to switch to defensive mode.
