Paris Saint-Germain are undergoing a significant transformation, evolving from an individual-oriented club to one that values team cohesion and active participation from all its players.
The Ligue 1 champions have been marred by consistent failure on the biggest stages in football, and are now set to discard the approach of focusing on signing football's biggest names.
Now caught up in the endless drama of star forward Kylian Mbappe's transfer, the club has shifted its focus to signing quality players they believe will align with the project new coach, Luis Enrique is working on.
One such star is South Korea’s brightest star, Lee Kang-in, who recently shared his thoughts on the team and their collective aspirations.
Kang-in on PSG
The Valencia Academy graduate recently completed his ₤22 million move to the French capital and was quizzed by the media about life and what it feels like working under the former Barcelona manager.
Quoted by Korea JoongAng Daily, the forward revealed:
“I think the players are gradually getting into the football that the manager wants.
“The style of play he wants will show as time goes on. Since this is the preseason, playing the football he wants and showing good cohesion with teammates is more important than the result.”
Kang-in has since formed a bromance with Brazilian, Neymar Jr., and also took time to speak about his friendship with the forward.
“I am not just close to Neymar but every player,” Lee continued.
“They welcomed me the moment I came to the club. I am honoured to play with good players on the same team. I will continue to show a better performance.”
