  • Reports claimed Luis Enrique was considering quitting Paris Saint-Germain after only weeks
  • The Spanish manager was said to be worried about the current saga involving Kylian Mbappe
  • The veteran manager has since come out to make his position as Parisians manager very clear

Luis Enrique has issued a statement to debunk claims he is considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain due to the Kylian Mbappe saga, just weeks after his appointment as manager of the French side.

Mbappe is currently in a standoff with PSG following his refusal to renew his contract with the reigning Ligue 1 champions, which could see him leave for free next summer.

The 24-year-old France forward, who recently turned down a mega offer from Al-Hilal, was dropped from PSG’s pre-season tour to Asia as the club demanded he extends his contract or leave this summer.

According to Sportskeeda, Enrique is worried about the situation concerning PSG, but the Spanish manager has indicated he has no plans of quitting after PSG rubbished the rumours of his possible departure.

The Parisians have charged Enrique with bringing them more European success, particularly the UEFA Champions League title, after an underwhelming campaign outside of Ligue 1 last season.

Kylian Mbappe makes Chelsea decision

Meanwhile, Mbappe is open to the idea of playing in the English Premier League and is considering signing a one-year deal with Chelsea to 'test himself' in England, Football Transfers reports.

The French star faces an uncertain future at a club level, with the Parisians desperate to offload him this summer over his refusal to renew his contract, which expires at the end of the season.

Chelsea has been strongly linked with the 24-year-old superstar and could get their wish of signing one of football’s biggest stars, as Mbappe is open to playing at Stamford Bridge this season.

PSG reporting Madrid to FIFA?

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on PSG contemplating a complaint with FIFA over allegations that Real Madrid was unfairly in contact with Mbappe.

The Parisians believe the French superstar has secretly reached an agreement with the Spanish giants to join them on a free transfer next summer.

FIFA strictly prohibits any communication between players and other clubs or any agreements beyond six months before a conrtact's expiration.
