  • Sadio Mane has switched from Bayern Munich to Al-Nassr in a transfer deal worth £34 million
  • The 31-year-old became one of the top earners in the Saudi Pro League with the mega move
  • The former Liverpool forward could make his debut for his new Saudi club as early as August 3

Al-Nassr's newest signing, Sadio Mane, received a heartfelt welcome upon his arrival at the Saudi Arabian club. After a quiet season with Bayern Munich, the 31-year-old was officially announced as a player for the country's top flight earlier this week.

Mane joins the ranks of Al-Nassr as their fourth signing of the summer, following the acquisition of midfielders Seko Fofana and Marcelo Brozovic, along with Manchester United defender, Alex Telles.

The Senegal international is part of a growing trend of top talents from Europe's elite leagues making the switch to Saudi Arabia.

His new contract is set to reward him with an impressive £34 million per year (£650,000 per week), per talkSPORT.

Already integrated with his new teammates, who are currently competing in the Arab Clubs Champions Cup, Mane could make his debut for the Knights of Nahd on August 3, in their third group game against Egyptian club, Zamalek.

Before the match, however, the 31-year-old was warmly embraced by his new teammates.

Al-Nassr players welcome Mane

A heartwarming video circulating on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, captured the moment Mane ran through a guard of honour formed by the players, receiving cheers and pats on the back.

The two-time African Footballer of the Year is undoubtedly set for an exciting new chapter in his football journey with Al-Nassr, where he will also feature alongside Portuguese veteran, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mane joins Ronaldo's Al-Nassr

After days of speculation, Mane completed his move to Saudi Arabia from Bayern Munich, Sports Brief previously reported.

His exit from the Bundesliga side was on the cards since manager, Thomas Tuchel, publically questioned his displays.

The ex-Liverpool star will now play alongside Ronaldo and is the latest player from a European club to move to Saudi Arabia.

Comparing Mane's wages to Ronaldo

Sports Brief also reported the Senegalese star will earn £650,000 a week at Al-Nassr, culminating in an annual salary of £34 million per year with the Saudi Pro League team.

However, Mane will earn way less than Ronaldo, his new teammate and skipper, who rakes in a reported sum of £177 million each year from his basic salary at the Saudi club.
