Hughton, who has worked with Kudus since taking over as Ghana coach, believes the youngster will flourish at any club because of his technical abilities.

"[Kudus] is a player of interest. There is no doubt and I know there was interest last season [from] Everton," Hughton told TalkSPORT.
"He is a player that will always show interest from clubs. He is young and has super abilities and also has that flexibility."

Hughton ended by commenting that Premier League interest in Kudus was no surprise to him.

The Ghanaian's future at Ajax remains a doubt after the 23-year-old reportedly told the club he wants to leave in the summer transfer window, as reported by MSN.

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is said to be interested in reuniting with the midfielder he brought to Ajax in the summer of 2020.

Hughton's talks with Nketiah, Hudson-Odoi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Black Stars coach, Hughton revealing discussions with Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi over switching their nationalities to represent Ghana.

Both players have Ghanaian parents, which would allow them to play for the African nation at an international level, with the Black Stars sure to benefit from the skills of the youngsters.

Nketiah is yet to play for England at a senior level, while Hudson-Odoi has made three appearances for the Three Lions but has not featured for the European country in over two years.

Ajax celebrate Mohammed Kudus

Sports Brief also reported on Dutch giants, Ajax Amsterdam congratulating their star, Kudus, after he won a top prize at the 2023 Ghana Football Awards on June 25.

The in-demand attacking midfielder fended off competition from KRC Genk winger, Joseph Paintsil, and Abdul Samed Salis of RC Lens to win the coveted award.

Kudus won the accolade after an outstanding season for both club and country, including scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists for the Dutch Eredivisie team.
