Rwanda's Salima Mukansanga will be the centre referee, assisted by Njoroge and Mauritian Queency Victoire. South Korea's Yujeong Kim will be the fourth official as captured by FIFA Media.
This will be Njoroge's second match Down Under after she officiated the Portugal game vs. Vietnam on July 27. The 38-year-old has an impressive CV, having featured at the 2018 U-20 World Cup and the 2019 Women's World Cup, which were both staged in France. She was also among the officials at the rescheduled Tokyo Olympic Games, as Nation Sports reports.
Kenyans in Europe's top leagues
Joseph Okumu's trajectory is the type of story that would inspire any Kenyan boy or girl looking to make it to the highest levels of football. From Chemelil Sugar to the United States to the Swedish and Belgian leagues, the former national U-23 captain is an embodiment of dedication and hoping that someone somewhere is watching.
Sports Brief reported that after impressing with KAA Gent in Belgium, Reims came knocking, with the 24-year-old sealing a five-year move to the French club, becoming only the fifth Kenyan to feature in the top five European leagues.
