FootballSadio Mane’s Impressive Goal Scoring Record vs. PL Big Six as Forward Joins Al Nassr
- Sadio Mane is set to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
- The Senegal international will be fondly remembered for his time in the Premier League
- He developed a knack for scoring against big sides, and netted 10 times against Manchester City
Sadio Mane became the latest player to join the Saudi Arabia top flight, ending his stint in Europe.
On Tuesday, August 1, Al-Nassr confirmed the signing of the 31-year-old, who was brought in for £34m.
Mane had a disastrous spell at Bayern Munich, as he struggled to settle in Germany, where he scored just 12 goals. A high-profile fallout with teammate Leroy Sane also did little to help his cause with the Bavarians.
While it is safe to say no one will remember Mane for his stint at Bayern Munich, fans will certainly recall how formidable the Senegal international was in the Premier League.
Fans with long memories will remember Mane’s memorable debut in a Liverpool shirt in a 4-3 thriller against Arsenal on the opening day of the 2016-17 campaign, as cited by PlanetFootball.com.
Before signing for Liverpool, Mane had already spent two seasons in the Premier League with Southampton, where he hit double figures in both campaigns.
His goal against Arsenal was a prelude to what was to come, as Mane went on to win several titles as a Liverpool player, including the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.
Who Mane scored against most
It will relieve Arsenal fans to learn that they were not his favourite victims, as far as goals are concerned.
According to stats on Transfermarkt, Mane was his most prolific when he came up against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, as he scored against the Eagles 13 times.
Manchester City are his second favourites, as the Senegal international scored 10 times against the Premier League giants. Note that this could be because Liverpool vs. Manchester City games always tended to be goal-fests.

FootballAston Villa are the third team Mane has scored the most goals against with nine strikes, followed by Chelsea and Arsenal, who have both been subjected to 8 goals each from Mane.
As far as the Big Six is concerned, Mane somehow found it difficult to score against Manchester United, only finding the net against the Red Devils twice.
Tottenham was another team he did not punish enough in his nine-year spell at the Premier League, as he only netted thrice against the North Londoners.
Harry Kane sets Bayern deadline
Sports Brief also reported on Harry Kane’s stance on his transfer to Bayern Munich as he set a deadline for the move.
With only nine days until the first game of the new campaign, the Bavarians are running out of time to secure the services of the 30-year-old.
According to reports, the striker will remain at Tottenham if no deal is reached by the time Tottenham face Brentford in their opening Premier League game.
