Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne is grappling with a raft of injury concerns ahead of his side's crucial Africa Cup of Nations Group C clash against Tanzania.

Both teams are eyeing for victory when they lock horns on Thursday, June 27, at the 30 June Stadium in Egypt.

A win for Migne's men will hand them a lifeline in the competition after suffering a 2-0 defeat in their group opener against Algeria.

Therefore, the tactician will be compelled to field a strong side to face their East Africa neighbours who will also be seeking their first win in the 32nd edition of the tournament.

Patrick Matasi is expected to keep his place between the sticks despite conceding twice against the Desert Foxes.

Gor Mahia defender Joash Onyango who also missed the Algeria tie is short of match fitness and may not be involved against Tanzania.

His counterpart Musa Mohammed remains a doubt after picking a knock against Algeria.

Meaning, David ‘Calabar’ Owino could be partnered with Joseph Okumu at the heart of Harambee Stars' defense.

Aboud Omar who turns out for Liga I side Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe and Philemon Otieno could be drawn in to provide more cover in defense.

Captain Victor Wanyama is expected to dictate affairs in the midfield alongside Johanna Omollo who had an immediate impact in the midfield after coming on against Algeria as a substitute.

Erick ‘Marcelo’ Ouma who also came in as a second-half substitute against Algeria to take control of the left flank is expected to start this time to complement the midfield pair.

Meanwhile, Francis Kahata, Ayub Timbe and Michael Olunga could keep their places upfront.

Possible Harambee Stars against Tanzania:

Goalkeeper: Matasi

Defenders: Otieno, Omar, Owino, Okumu

Midfielders: Wanyama, Omollo, Marcelo

Forwards: Kahata, Timbe and Olunga
