Kylian Mbappe’s future will go down as the biggest news of the 2023 summer transfer window.
A rollercoaster of events have unfolded since the forward sent in a letter stating he wasn’t going to renew his contract at the French capital.
PSG have immediately placed the forward on the transfer market with the hope that his future would be resolved before the 31st of July.
According to French outlet L’Équipe, PSG recently offered Mbappe a new contract despite placing the forward on the transfer list and leaving him out of their preseason tour to Japan. The forward reportedly declined the offer and has his sights set on a move to Real Madrid.
Amidst all the chaos, PSG have consistently received offers for the forward, with the standout being the ₤300 million offer from Suadi club Al-Hilal. Surprisingly, Real Madrid rivals Barcelona have registered their interest in the forward, having recently sent in a bid.
Barcelona’s bid for Kylian Mbappe
The Spanish club is reported by Marca to have made a bid that includes midfielder Pablo Gavi, forward Ousmane Dembele, and Brazilian Raphinha for the signature of the 24-year-old. Absurdly, it appears that the French club has thrown this bid out of the window as they hope to get a bid in the region of ₤250 million from any club that wishes to sign the forward.
PSG are believed to be awaiting an offer from Real Madrid which is rumoured to be expected to come late into the transfer window.
