- Kylian Mbappe has reportedly been offered to Chelsea among other top European clubs
- The Blues' Ben Chilwell has dropped a hint on the future of the Paris Saint-Germain star
- Chilwell's hint was noticed after his team won the Premier League Summer Series Cup
Ben Chilwell seemingly dropped a cryptic Kylian Mbappe hint, with the French forward's future still mired in total uncertainty.
Mbappe has always triggered transfer headlines, with Real Madrid believed to be the frontrunners for his signature. Paris Saint-Germain intend to move him on this summer if he fails to agree to a new contract.
The impasse has brought about the uncertainty of his future. He was recently left out of Luis Enrique's first pre-season tour as head coach as the club gives Mbappe time to reflect on his decision.
Saudi Arabian giants, Al-Hilal, offered a never-before-seen deal of close to €1 billion to sign the 24-year-old, but he rejected this, as reported by the Guardian.
Of that staggering amount, Mbappe would have received a whopping salary of at least €700mil euros for one year.
Did PSG offer Chelsea Mbappe?
Other clubs like Liverpool, Barcelona, and Chelsea are also said to be in the running. 90Min reports that Blues co-owner, Todd Boehly, is putting together a deal after being contacted by PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
The rumour gained more traction after Chilwell appeared to drop a hint after Chelsea won the Premier League Summer Series in the United States.
As co-captain, Reece James, lifted the trophy, Chilwell was heard saying, 'And Mbappe ain't here yet'.
Fans online have interpreted the statement as a possibility that a deal could be in the offing, with others seeing it as Chilwell's approval that Mauricio Pochettino's side can win any trophy without necessarily having the 2018 World Cup winner.
The Argentine manager's side has had a wonderful pre-season, winning all their games to lift the inaugural PLSS title.

FootballChilwell aspires to Chelsea captaincy
Sports Brief has also reported that Chilwell wants to be Chelsea captain and lead the team next season after the departure of former skipper, Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Blues are undergoing a series of changes which started with a change of ownership over a year ago. The club has seen five different managers in that time.
Veteran defender, Thiago Silva, is the likeliest choice for the Blues captaincy, while Chelsea academy star, James, has also been tipped to jostle for the armband.
