  • Former Ghana coach, Otto Addo met his ex-players, Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland
  • The EPL stars were groomed by the Ghanaian trainer during their time in Germany
  • Sancho featured for Manchester United as they lost to Dortmund in pre-season

English Premier League stars, Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland, reunited with former trainer, Otto Addo in Las Vegas before Manchester United's friendly against Borussia Dortmund.

Addo, a member of the technical team of the German giants, supervised the development of the duo during their time in the Bundesliga.

Sancho left to join Manchester United while Haaland signed for rivals Manchester City, where he won the treble in his first season.

In a photo shared on social media, the duo was seen to be delighted to meet the former Ghana coach as they shared memories of their time together.

Addo led Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after edging Nigeria in the qualifiers. He also took charge of the team at the tournament as Ghana won one and lost two of their group matches.

Meanwhile, Sancho started for Manchester United as the Red Devils lost 3-2 to Dortmund in the pre-season game on Monday morning, as reported by Forbes.com.

City, on the other hand, lost to Atletico Madrid in their last preparatory game before next week's Community Shield against Arsenal.

Dortmund beat Manchester United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Borussia Dortmund punished Manchester United's defensive lapses on Sunday as the English Premier League giants wrapped up their North American tour with a 3-2 defeat to the Bundesliga side in Las Vegas.

A second-half strike by Dortmund substitute Youssoufa Moukoko proved the difference in an entertaining clash at the Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders.

United manager Erik ten Hag named a virtual reserve team to start, leaving the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and new signing Mason Mount on the bench.

Otto Addo leaves Ghana job

Ghana coach Otto Addo has announced he is stepping down from his role on the back of a woeful group-stage exit at the World Cup.

The Black Stars' failure to beat Uruguay in their final Group H match led Addo to confirm his exit after more than six months in charge.

Addo announced his contract would not be renewed after Ghana's 2-0 defeat to Uruguay confirmed their early elimination.
