  • Manchester United lost 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund in their latest friendly on July 30
  • An incident involving Andre Onana and United defenders has caught the eye of fans
  • The goalkeeper appeared extremely upset at his team after he made a crucial save

Andre Onana was a fiery figure at one point, as he was spotted calling out Manchester United’s defence during the friendly against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

The Cameroon international has integrated seamlessly into Erik ten Hag’s squad after the departure of David de Gea and was once again called into action against the German giants.

Onana came on in the second half in place of veteran, Thomas Heaton, who had conceded two goals in a matter of minutes in the first half.

Heaton was not necessarily at fault for the goals, though, as they came from individual mistakes from Victor Lindelof and Brandon Williams, respectively.

Onana was not going to tolerate such errors and made his feelings clear in a video that went viral on social media, posted by United podcast, Stretford Paddock.

In the early moments of the second half, the newly-signed keeper was forced into a crucial save using his feet as he denied Dortmund a third goal.

Immediately after the ball went out for a corner, Onana began berating the United defence for this mistake. Fans have taken this as a sign of good leadership from the back and lauded the Cameroonian.

Dortmund vs United: the result

Man United went ahead in the first half courtesy of Diogo Dalot’s superb strike in the 24th minute, but Dortmund turned the game on its head late in the first half thanks to a Donyell Marlen double, per Goal.

Brazilian star, Antony, then squeezed a shot past a crowded box into the net to make it 2-2, but it was the Bundesliga side who had the last laugh as Yousouffa Moukoko struck the winner in the 71st minute.

Maguire could move to Chelsea

Sports Brief also reported Chelsea reportedly eyeing Maguire as the embattled Blues seek to rebuild themselves heading into the new season.

The English defender, who is also struggling recently, is facing an uncertain future with United after Erik ten Hag axed him as the club captain.
