Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey recovered from an injury that has kept him out since March to feature in Brighton and Hove Albion's Premier League Summer Series against Newcastle United.
The Black Stars right-back came off the bench as the Seagulls suffered a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in an entertaining pre-season game.
Lamptey has been out since picking an injury in the game against West Ham, but resumed training last month and looks set for the upcoming season.
The 22-year-old shared his excitement after returning to action for the first time in four months.
"Thank God always! Enjoyed being back out there now time to push on," wrote the defender on social media.
His comeback is huge boost for Brighton ahead of what will be a busy season following their qualification to Europe.
Although, Lamptey has been linked with a move to Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, the defender seems to be in the plans of Roberto De Zerbi.
The former England international is also expected to be available for the Black Stars in the AFCON qualifier against the Central African Republic in September.
Lamptey snubs England for Ghana
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey has asked to be left out of England's squad for their upcoming European Under-21 Championship qualifying games.
The 21-year-old is considering representing Ghana ahead of the 2022 World Cup and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Daily Mail.

Lamptey makes donation in Ghana
Brighton and Hove Albion defender, Tariq Lamptey is having an event-filled and gratifying vacation in Ghana.
Lamptey, presently in the West African nation, donated generously to Freedom Methodist School and Wesley Methodist School in Asamankese as part of his annual activity.
The donation included footballs, boots, and Brighton’s home and away kits.
