It is reported that a deal for the 24-year-old would cost the Spanish club an excess of €200 million.
For Los Blancos, agreeing to a reduced fee with PSG remains the stumbling block to completing the transfer as reports have stated the club is holding out for a reduced transfer fee, given Mbappe’s contract runs out in under 12 months.
On the player’s part, reports from Marca have stated that Mbappe and Real Madrid have agreed to a verbal contract for the 2024 summer.
Real Madrid would have no difficulty bringing forward the contract a year earlier and have made their stance clear as to when they want this saga completed.
