Kaizer Chiefs were dealt a difficult hand after the draws for the CAF Champions League took place in Cairo on Monday 9 November. The club will have to face Cameroon Premiership Champions PWD Bamenda in the first round.

If Chiefs manage to defeat the Cameroon defending champions, they'll be up against Angolan giants, Premiero De Agosto. The Soweto giants are not even in the top ten of the South African Premier Division Standings at the moment.

Sitting at 11th with 4 points, Amakhosi surely has to work hard to regain a top position.

According to The South African, Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs will be participating in the CAF Champions League while Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic will representing Mzansi in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Kick-Off reported that Chiefs have not qualified for group stages of the competition in their history and only four games stand in their way.

Briefly.co.za previously reported on Chiefs after a disappointed Hunt praised Orlando Pirates newbies. Their last defeat was the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates who beat them 2-0 in the MTN8 semi-final second leg game at the FNB Stadium.

A week before, Chiefs were embarrassed by the Bucs who beat them 3-0. The last match they won against Chippa United, thanks to an own goal, was not much of a win. Hunt told Supersport TV after the painful encounter that the Pirates' new signings have shown a great deal of promise.

Deon Hotto, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Terrence Dzvukamanja and Thabang Monare were former Bidvest Wits players who Hunt coached when he was heading the club according to Goal. He hinted that the new players have something that his Chiefs players are lacking and it is not skill or fitness but the right mentality.

"I can’t talk about those types of things in the media. Look at the Wits players in the last two games and that’s the difference. They have the mentality and that’s what a team needs. That’s what we will look for."
