Vinicius however has since silenced his critics and left doubters in awe of the stunning abilities he possesses after two consecutive seasons of ranking amongst Europe’s elite both in goals and assists.

The forward wasted no time revealing how he feels about getting the iconic jersey number.
As quoted by Madrid Zone on Twitter the forward said:
“Cristiano Ronaldo is an idol for me, I watched every game of his at Real Madrid. Wearing this shirt for me is a dream."
Though it would appear a tall order for Madridstas requesting Vinicius match the incredible numbers set by Ronaldo during his time at the Spanish club, however, fans of Los Blancos would hope the young Brazilian can continue in his current trajectory.
It should be recalled that Ronaldo recorded a jaw-dropping 451 goals in 438 games for the Spanish club as per reports from Whoscored.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Vinicius Junior has inaugurated a sports centre bearing his name at the school where his rise to fame began.
The 22-year-old returned to his alma mater, Odete Sao Paio School in Sao Goncalo, his hometown in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Los Blancos' new No.7 took the spotlight at the opening of a sports pitch named after him to unveil the Vinicius Sports Centre, leaving an indelible mark on his roots.
