Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu has been given a Marvel makeover as an inaugural member of the EA Sports 24 ahead of the game's release in September 2023.

EA Sports 24 will be the start of a new era of the game which will be available for order now before it's release on September 29.

Kanu is part of 19 other footballers, both active and inactive to make the first list of the game.

The former Nigeria forward is also the only African in the inaugural team following his legendary career for both club and country.

Former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany, Chelsea's UEFA Champions League winning midfielder Ramirez and Australia women's football star Sam Kerr are all part of the team.

Kanu's place in the team is as a result of his achievements as a footballer, one of the earliest African players to win the Champions League, starring in the Ajax 1995 squad.

He also helped Nigeria qualify for the World Cup in 1998 and 2002, making 86 appearances and scoring 12 goals for the Super Eagles. He was also a member of the Nigeria team that won the Olympic Games in 1996.

Kanu rubbishes Finidi George sack reports

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nwankwo Kanu, the new chairman of Nigerian Professional Football League champions, Enyimba FC, has rubbished reports that Finidi George has been sacked as the club's coach.

Recently, the former Super Eagles star recorded his name in the history books after helping the Aba-based club to win their ninth Nigerian Professional Football League title.

The former Ajax Amsterdam winger has also helped Enyimba qualify for this year's CAF Champions League tournament due to their Nigerian league victory.

Kanu spotted acting as a conductor

Super Eagles legend, Nwankwo Kanu, transformed himself into a bus conductor while conveying players of his football academy to their training ground.

The video has since gone viral on social media, with fans all having their say.

Kanu, a former Arsenal striker, is among the biggest players from the African continent considering the Gunners won the Premier League title with him on the team.
