James' debut stunner
Chelsea Women's star Lauren James opened her major tournament account for England six minutes into her first start at the Mundial.
According to BBC Sport, the 22-year-old received the ball from Rachel Daly and unleashed a ferocious shot that skipped past Danish goalkeeper, Lene Christensen into the top corner.
SportBible reported that it was the team's first opening goal since Ella Toone's goal against Brazil in the Women's Finalissima at Wembley Stadium in April.
Brazil: Goal of the tournament?
Sports Brief reported that Brazil scored a goal of the tournament contender in their 4-0 win over Panama, which also featured a hat-trick from Ary Borges.
Four players combined for the goal, which ended with Borges giving a back-heel assist to Bia Zaneratto, who launched home past two helpless defenders and the goalkeeper.
