Asisat Oshoala is still buzzing in excitement after leading the Super Falcons of Nigeria to a famous win against Australia at the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Barcelona Femeni striker came on in the second half to score the winner in a thrilling encounter in Brisbane.

The victory sends Nigeria top of Group B and will advance to the knockout stages if they pick at least a point against Ireland in their final group game.

"This team has a lot to offer and everyone has seen that today," she said in a post-match interview which has since gone viral on social media.

Oshoala started the game from the bench but made a huge difference after replacing Uchenna Kalu in the second half as Nigeria took a two-goal cushion before injury time.

"To be honest with you, I was really really felling well but I am not a selfish person and this is why you need a good squad at the World Cup," she added explaining why she did not start the match.

With the win, Nigeria remains the only African country to have collected three points from a game at the tournament in New Zealand and Australia, as reported by si.com.

"I want to fight for this badge, this is the best country in the world. Naija for life," she screamed in excitement.

Oshoala takes shirt off to celebrate

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigeria forward, Asisat Oshoala celebrated in style by taking off her shirt after netting the Super Falcons' third goal in the game against Australia at the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Barcelona forward pounced on a mistake by the Australian defence before slotting home for her side's third as Nigeria fought for victory in their second game.

Oshoala had come off the bench moments before giving her side the two-goal cushion to complete a remarkable comeback.

Plumptre shows dancing skills

Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre stole the show during the celebrations after Nigeria's victory over Australia at the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The English-born defender impressed as the Super Falcons staged a comeback to beat the co-hosts in Brisbane and go top of Group B.

The team celebrated wildly after the match with scenes from the dressing room showing players enjoying the moment.
