Nigeria forward Samuel Chukwueze has revealed that he consulted compatriot and Napoli star, Victor Osimhen, before deciding to join Italian giants AC Milan.

The 24-year-old signed a five-year deal to join the Rossoneris from Spanish club Villareal.

The talented winger is buzzing to get started with the former Italian champions, stating his excitement after sealing the move.

"Six years in Spain, I think I have learnt some many things about European football and making this kind of advancement in my career is the most important thing for me and I can't wait to start playing," he told AC Milan's media.

Chukwueze will face international teammate Osimhen in the Serie A, and according to the winger he spoke to last season's top scorer before arriving in Italy.

"The last time we talked, he told me, 'Samuel, AC Milan is a fantastic club, one of the best clubs, don't hesitate to sign with them." stated Chuwueze.

"They are fantastic, they have extraordinary supporters.' I asked him to tell me more, how it feels to play against them, and he said that the Rossoneri fans are incredible, they are crazy about football.

"No problem, I told him, 'I hope you know I'm going to beat you (laughs, note).' He replied, 'We'll see.' He's really a good guy. He played an important role in my coming to AC Milan because he told me I had to come to Italy."

AC Milan are in the United States preparing ahead of the new season with the hopes of wrestling back the title from Napoli, as reported by acmilan.com.
