FootballOnana: Rival Fans Troll Goalie After Conceding Chipped Shot, Bicycle Kick in Man United Debut
- Andre Onana made his Manchester United debut in the pre-season game against Real Madrid
- He played the full 90 minutes and showed why the Red Devils cough up mega money for him
- However, he conceded two beautiful goals on the part of the opponents and is getting trolled
Manchester United fans saw what they wanted to see from their new goalkeeper, Andre Onana, but rival fans also got what they wanted and have been making fun of it.
The Red Devils parted ways with veteran goalkeeper, David De Gea, after 12 years at the end of last season after enduring season-long criticism for his inability to use his feet effectively.
According to the Guardian, Onana cost Manchester United a total package of €55 million from Inter Milan despite joining the Italian side a year ago, after weeks of intense negotiations between the two clubs.
He linked up with the team in their US pre-season tour and debuted in the 2-0 loss to Real Madrid.
Onana impresses on United debut
The Cameroonian is rated as one of the best ball-playing goalkeepers in Europe. He was in his element in the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City, limiting the Citizens' ability to press his goal area.
According to United Zone, he completed a game-high 95% pass completion, with 39 of his 41 passes finding teammates. He also made 17 forward passes, five long passes, and three saves.
Rivals fans troll Onana
Football rivalry always makes fans look for something to troll on, even during an impressive performance. He conceded a chip from Jude Bellingham and a bicycle kick from Joselu to hand Madrid a 2-0 win.

Why Onana chose United's 24
Sports Brief also reported why Onana retained his number 24 jersey despite number 1 - used by most first-choice goalkeepers - being vacant after De Gea's departure.
The ex-Inter Milan goalie kept faith in his usual number, which pays homage to his experience and date of birth in the only season of his career when he wore number 1.
