Real Madrid vs Manchester United saw the Red Devils suffer yet another defeat in a pre-season friendly after they were humbled 2-0 by the La Liga giants on Thursday, July 27, in a thrilling clash played in Houston.

United were keen to return to winning ways during the tie after they suffered a 3-1 embarrassing defeat a day earlier against lower-tier side Wrexham.

However, unlike the Wrexham encounter where Erik ten Hag fielded academy players, the Dutchman opted for a strong lineup against their Spanish opponents.

The fixture saw Raphael Varane and Casemiro come up against their former club, with Ten Hag also handing his £47million goalkeeper signing Andre Onana his debut in a United shirt.

On their part, Real also paraded a strong team, with summer arrival Jude Bellingham making his second appearance for his new side.

However, it was Carlo Ancelotti's men who eventually emerged the winners of the tie played in front of more than 70,000 fans in Texas.

Real were largely the dominant side in the opening 45 minutes, with Bellingham's first goal for the club the only difference at the interval.

The Englishman needed just five minutes to open the scoring after he cooly chipped over Onana, who was caught off his line.

Joselu went on to double Real's lead at the death with a stunning overhead kick to settle it.
