FootballPSG Star Mbappe Makes Bold Transfer Move, Rejects World Record Al Hilal Bid
- Paris Saint-Germain star forward, Kylian Mbappe has rejected Al-Hilal's humongous bid
- The bid would have seen Mbappe become the most expensive player in the history of football
- Meanwhile, he has been excluded from PSG's pre-season preparations
Kylian Mbappe has firmly declined any negotiations with Al-Hilal, making it clear that he is committed to his chosen path for the future, despite a highly tempting bid from the Saudi club.
Al-Hilal sent shockwaves through the football world by putting forward a staggering €300 million offer to Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Mbappe.
The proposed deal entails a one-year contract for the French football star, which includes an eye-watering salary of €700 million.
As part of this arrangement, Mbappe would have had the option to join Real Madrid - his dream club - the following summer, as reported by Football Espana.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe is currently not interested in entering into discussions, even though Al-Hilal have offered him a fixed salary of €200m plus 100% image rights.
This decision effectively puts an end to the possibility of him becoming the highest-earning footballer in the world.
Contrary to reports that Mbappe's family was open to him accepting Al-Hilal's offer, the young talent has remained resolute in his stance, sticking to his chosen direction for his career.
What Mbappe’s contract could buy
Sports Brief breaks down a couple of things Mbappe could have hypothetically bought with such a paycheque. For context, that salary is more than triple the amount Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the best-paid athlete in the world, currently earns.
As it stands, it is only a signature that is between Mbappe and a 776 million US dollar payday for one year. Al-Hilal have equally offered more than 300 million dollars to Paris Sant Germain as transfer fees.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain’s failure to offload Mbappe before August 1 will come at a huge financial cost for the reining Ligue 1 champions due to a unique clause in his last contract, Sports Brief reported.
Mbappe will be due to get a loyalty bonus amounting to €60 million from PSG if he remains at the Ligue 1 club until August 1. This is a clause that PSG do not want to be triggered.
