Larry Appiah, son of former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, has bagged a degree in Business Economics after successfully graduating from the University of Birmingham.
The young Appiah received his degree at a lovely graduation ceremony in the UK, with his father in attendance.
Although Larry had dreams of playing football, he is also taking his education seriously as he works his way into the corporate world.
"Today, we doff our hats off to you for achieving this milestone! Your hard work, determination, and perseverance have paid off, and the family is proud of you. You have our greatest support in your next chapter... Congrats son," wrote the ex-Ghana captain on social media.
Appiah retired from football in 2015 and has played various roles in the senior national team, including working as a team manager. During his career, he played for Hearts of Oak, Udinese, Juventus, Fenerbache, and FK Vojvodina, as reported by Transfermarkt.
The former Juventus midfielder's other son, Rodney Appiah, has fully taken football as his career. He last played for Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics.
Appiah reveals Black Stars sacrifices
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Stephen Appiah has disclosed the personal sacrifices he made to improve the image of the Black Stars.
According to the former Ghana captain, there was a time when nobody wanted to play for the national team.
However, as leader of the team, he has revealed the lengths he pursued to ensure players would honour invites to the Black Stars.
