The 2022 World Cup champion was utterly outstanding in a blowout win over Atlanta United, combining with Robert Taylor in a statement Inter Miami triumph.

According to Goal, Messi scored two of Inter Miami's goals in the 4-0 Leagues Cup win against Atlanta United, netting twice within the first 22 minutes of the match.

His second goal in the game is reported to have set a new Guinness World Record after it became the most-watched live event in the history of the United States.

The video has reportedly garnered over 3.4 billion views, another milestone set by the 36-year-old superstar following his move to the MLS this summer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi has now scored three goals in his first two appearances for the David Beckham co-owned team since completing his move to the Floridians.

Meanwhile, Messi has unveiled a new goal celebration after netting twice to help Inter Miami overcome Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup on Tuesday night, Give Me Sport reports.

After netting his second for his new team, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner stood still and held out his hand towards the franchise's co-owner, Beckham.

The Manchester United legend was captured smiling back at his new superstar as Messi continues to impress since making the move to the MLS this summer.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has already bagged 34 trophies and titles at the club level, making him one of the most decorated footballers ever.

Internationally, Messi has won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Copa América, and the CONMEBOL titles, and he also has seven entries in the Guinness Book.
