Kaizer Chiefs have finally launched their new kits for the 2023/24 season, and there are mixed reactions from fans over it.

The club have since revealed their new kits designed by Kappa, and the comments are pouring in.

The new Amakhosi kit was also featured on eNCA, as the club’s Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung and Ricky Joseph, the head of Kappa SA, promoted the season’s new jersey live on air.

With the away kit resembling the World Cup-winning Springboks shirt, some fans were sceptical about the rugby look, while others believe the club would win trophies again in the new kit.

Others complained the kit was leaked online before the launch, so Chiefs should not have wasted time with such a big launch.

Fans react to Chiefs' kit

Here's how social media reacted to the club’s new jerseys:

@AgneKwena commented:

“This is the best kit in the division; Kappa pulled off all the stops. Jessica is a marketing guru.”

@king_mhlaba tweeted:

“There was no need for my FC to launch these jerseys as these jerseys have been known by the public already. The home kit is ugly. The away kit would be more beautiful if they didn't use cheap fabric.”

@Cr07Kaito added:

“10/10. We are competing with AmaZulu and Cape Town City here for the best jersey of the season. Definitely.”

@ButiEzechiel said:

“Mabokoboko FC.”

@BabonkeL tweeted a reaction:

“They think they are Springboks now, this third biggest team from Soweto though.”

@Unahinanaye also commented:

“Stunning😍 hope it will match up with our style of play this season.”

@McCartneyTM said:

“I am a Pirates fan, but truth be told, Kappa Cooked a proper meal here!”

“So much effort for an already leaked kit."
