Manchester United forward, Anthony Elanga has penned an emotional farewell following his Old Trafford departure after nine years with the club.
The Red Devils announced Elanga's exit on Tuesday, July 25, with the club revealing that the youngster will be joining EPL rivals Nottingham Forest.
In a statement shared by United, the Old Trafford dwellers thanked the youngster for his contribution during his stint at the Theatre of Dreams.
"Anthony has been a fine role model and example for other members of the Academy, and leaves with our sincere best wishes for the future, after Forest won the race for his signature, and tied him to a five-year contract," Man United said in a statement.
"We would like to thank him for his service at United," the club added.
Elanga pens emotional tribute
The Switzerland international has since taken some time to pen an emotional farewell following his departure.
The 21-year-old expressed his gratitude to the club and fans for their support during his time with Man United.
"From the moment that I watched a game from the Stretford End as a young boy I’ve known that United fans are special. We’ll always have ‘Rhythm is a dancer’. It meant the world to me and my family every time that we heard that chant. There are not enough words to properly thank you for the unbelievable support," he posted on Facebook.
"It is the right time now for the perfect next step in my career. I’m someone who lives for football and I need to be on the pitch every week doing what I love," he added.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Marcus Rashford has singled out two Man City starts for praise while naming the best player in the EPL and his toughest opponent.
The Man United ace declared Kyle Walker as the player who gives him the most problems.
Rashford was impressive for the Red Devils last season, scoring 30 goals across all competitions.
