Though reports had grown cold on this transfer saga, Belgian media Voetbalkrant has finally brought to an end the hopes of seeing Hazard play alongside Messi, after it was reported that the former Chelsea star has turned down an offer from the MLS club.

Hazard captained Belgium and made 126 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 33 goals. He appears to have his immediate future far from sorted.

El Futbolero has reported that Hazard could soon have an offer coming from La Liga club Celta Vigo.

However, Celta, who are led by captain Iago Aspas, may back out of a deal to sign the Belgian considering his wage structure.
