- Eden Hazard has been without a club since leaving Real Madrid
- The 32-year-old Belgian has been linked with a move to the MLS
- Recent reports have appeared to debunk the attacker’s MLS move
Eden Hazard endured one of the most unfortunate stints any football player could experience at a club like Real Madrid.
Hazard joined Los Blancos in 2019 for a record fee in the region of £150 million off the back of nine years at Chelsea.
The forward featured over 300 times for Chelsea, scoring 110 goals and providing 92 assists, per Whoscored.
Hazard rejects MLS move
Unfortunately for Hazard, he couldn’t replicate his impressive numbers at the Spanish club. He only managed seven goals and four assists in 76 appearances for the club across four seasons.
After the club brought to an end his time at the capital, many anticipated what next the Belgian forward would do next.
Hazard was linked with a move to the MLS, with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami speculated as the preferred destination. Though reports had grown cold on this transfer saga, Belgian media Voetbalkrant has finally brought to an end the hopes of seeing Hazard play alongside Messi, after it was reported that the former Chelsea star has turned down an offer from the MLS club.
Hazard captained Belgium and made 126 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 33 goals. He appears to have his immediate future far from sorted.
El Futbolero has reported that Hazard could soon have an offer coming from La Liga club Celta Vigo.
However, Celta, who are led by captain Iago Aspas, may back out of a deal to sign the Belgian considering his wage structure.
Hazard debunks retirement rumours
In another report, Sports Brief stated that Eden Hazard debunked the rumours that he is considering retirement from professional football after his contract at Real Madrid was mutually terminated.

FootballHazard spent four years in Madrid since he moved from Chelsea in 2019 in a transfer that cost a total of £150m, including add-ons.
He struggled with injuries, which made him miss more games than he played. He scored only seven goals for his ‘dream club’ and failed to record a single minute in El Clasico.
