Kylian Mbappe found himself in fits of laughter when NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo playfully offered himself to Al-Hilal, claiming to be the doppelganger of the PSG forward.
Mbappe has been the centre of a transfer saga involving his current club, PSG, La Liga giants Real Madrid, and Saudi outfit Al-Hilal.
The 24-year-old has chosen not to extend his contract with PSG, which is set to expire next summer. This decision has led the club to exclude him from their pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign.
Reports suggest that PSG believes Mbappe has an agreement in place with Real Madrid, which influenced his decision not to extend his contract with the Parisians beyond next summer, per Football Espana.
As the Ligue 1 champions are unwilling to let their prized asset leave for free, they are prepared to sell him to the highest bidder, introducing Al-Hilal into the equation.
Fabrizio Romano reported that in the early hours of Monday, July 24, Al-Hilal submitted a world record fee of €300 million to acquire the services of the Frenchman.
Despite the lucrative offer, which also includes an annual salary package of €700 million, Mbappe has no intention of leaving Europe for the Middle East.
In a lighthearted gesture, Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as the 'Greek Freak' and playing for the NBA franchise Milwaukee Bucks, humorously offered himself to Al-Hilal, suggesting that he bears a striking resemblance to Mbappe.
The Tweet amused the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner, who responded with laughing emojis.
