Mikel Arteta has broken his silence after Arsenal missed out on Mason Mount's transfer.
The Gunners were among the teams that were eyeing a summer move for the England international.
However, it was Manchester United who won the transfer race for Mount, with the midfielder swapping Chelsea for the Red Devils.
According to Sky Sports, Mount moved to Old Trafford for an initial £55million that could rise to £60m depending on success and appearances.
Mount's transfer switch brought to an end his 18-year association with the west London club.
Arteta speaks on missing out on Mount
Arteta has now come out to claim he has no regrets about missing out on the signing of Mount.
It is understood that Arsenal are among the clubs who registered interest in the 24-year-old after it became apparent he would leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, the Gunners' pursuit of the Englishman flopped, with the club forced to turn to his former teammate Kai Havertz.
"We are so happy with the players that we’ve signed and the players that we’ve got in our squad," said Arteta when asked about Mount’s decision to join United, per Metro UK.
Apart from Havertz, Arsenal have made two other major signings in the shape of Jurrien Timber who arrived from Ajax and Declan Rice, who swapped West Ham for the north Londoners.
