Kylian Mbappe has recently stolen the headlines as in time past, but this time with another twist to his transfer saga.
PSG recently made a bold decision on the forward’s immediate future after leaving him out of their travelling squad for their pre-season tour in Asia.
Mbappe’s current deal is expected to run out next summer, meaning the forward who is reported by Tribuna to have a verbal agreement with Real Madrid can sign a pre-contract with the Spanish giant in January – a decision that would leave PSG in financial jeopardy.
Aiming to avoid such an instance, the French champions have slammed a price on their marquee forward with the hope Real Madrid will make a move for the 24-year-old.
PSG price for Mbappe
Madrid-based paper Marca reports that it would cost in excess of €400 million for Real Madrid to sign Mbappe this summer. This fee was broken down to include a transfer fee, which could reach €200 million, as well as wages, agent fees and a signing-on fee.
The Spanish club though are reported to be reluctant to pay this amount, and for the time being, would prefer to wait until the January window before making their move for the forward. Considering that Mbappe only wants to sign for them, it could be a very smart idea to hold off.
Mbappe may be less bothered by Madrid’s reluctance though as it was recently reported by SkySports that he is ready to sit on the bench and not play at PSG until his contract runs out next summer.
It is believed the forward would be entitled to pick up huge wages and a bonus of over £100 million if he remains in the French capital beyond the current summer.

FootballMbappe 'not bigger' than PSG
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has reportedly clarified the club's position regarding the ongoing transfer saga involving Kylian Mbappe.
During the presentation of Luis Enrique as the Ligue 1 champions' new coach on Wednesday, Al-Khelaifi issued an ultimatum to Mbappe as the contract saga continues.
Underscoring the gravity of the situation involving Mbappe, Al-Khelaifi emphasised that no player holds greater importance than the club itself.
