Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was left unimpressed by a stunt which was pulled by a German reporter during a recent press conference.
Postecoglou was on media duty ahead of Tottenham’s friendly against Leicester City on Sunday in Bangkok, when he was met by an offensive stunt by the reporter.
During the presser, the reporter held up a Bayern Munich shirt which bore Harry Kane’s name and the number 9 on it, but the Tottenham boss did not appreciate the attempt at humour.
The reporter outrageously asked Postecoglou what he thought of the shirt, and the gaffer was quick to shut down the antics.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, per The Sun.
“Did you get a good laugh for it? Got what you came to get? Maybe? Very good. You came a long way for that, thank you.”
Kane’s uncertain future
Kane’s future is still up in the air, although Bayern remains his most plausible destination.
The Bavarians, who narrowly beat Borussia Dortmund to the Bundesliga title last season, have had two bids for Kane rejected by Tottenham so far.
Kane only has one year left on his current deal with the North London club, and reports from Sky Sports claim he is interested in joining Bayern.
The fact that Tottenham are not in Europe next season makes it harder for the club to retain the services of their all-time goal-scorer.
Meanwhile, as the press conference went on, Postecoglou was still irritated by the stunt, and it showed when he spoke about Tottenham’s ambitions.

Arteta on Partey’s future
Sports Brief also reported on Mikel Arteta’s take on Thomas Partey’s future after the arrival of Declan Rice.
It was anticipated that Partey would leave Arsenal, especially after the £105million capture of Declan Rice.
But Arteta has quelled Arsenal fans’ fear of losing the 30-year-old, as he reiterated the importance of the Ghanaian to the squad.
“Thomas Partey is a super important player for us and for me and we want him to be in the team, that’s for sure.” Arteta said.
