According to media reports, PSG believes that Mbappe has already reached an agreement to join Real Madrid next summer on a free transfer. Consequently, leading the Parisian club to put the Frenchman up for sale at this moment, per Reuters.
Mbappe's reaction to PSG exclusion
According to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol, the expected decision did not sway Kylian Mbappe's stance.
The 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner's immediate reaction indicates that he is prepared to sit on the bench and abstain from playing for PSG until his contract expires next summer.
Even his role as the France captain and the upcoming 2024 Euros do not seem to alter his thinking.
Solhekol adds that if Mbappe, who is the club's all-time top scorer, stands firm and chooses to sacrifice a season, PSG's hands are tied. They will still be obligated to pay him his wages and bonuses.
Mbappe appears resolute in calling their bluff, waiting to see who will back down first.
