FootballNeymar Drops Sensational PSG Announcement Amid Uncertain Future in France
- Neymar has opened up about the uncertainty surrounding his future
- It has been reported in recent months that PSG are open to selling him this summer
- But the 31-year-old has other ideas
Neymar Junior has addressed the persistent speculations surrounding his future at Paris Saint-Germain, effectively quashing the rumours of his departure from the French club.
During the beginning of last season, Neymar showcased his brilliance, scoring 13 goals and assisting in 11 more during his 20 Ligue 1 appearances before an ankle injury in February prematurely ended his campaign.
Remarkably, after five months of recovery, he has rejoined his teammates as they gear up for the forthcoming season under the guidance of new coach Luis Enrique.
Despite recent reports suggesting potential moves to Chelsea or even a return to Barcelona, the 31-year-old has asserted his commitment to honouring his existing contract, which still has two years remaining, per Transfermarkt.
The Brazilian playmaker has made it clear that his dedication lies with PSG, and he intends to stay with the club for the foreseeable future.
“I hope it’s at PSG [next season]. I have a contract. No one has informed me of anything,” he told Caze TV as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Regardless of his current status as public enemy No.1 among PSG faithfuls, the 31-year-old seems determined to remain with the French champions.
“Even if there isn’t much love between the fans & the player, I will be there [at PSG], with love or without love.”
Mbappe links up with Neymar
Following a brief visit to his father's home nation of Cameroon, Kylian Mbappe has returned to PSG just before the club embarks on their pre-season preparations under new manager, Luis Enrique.
A video circulating online captured the moment when the four-time Ligue 1 Best Player met up with his Brazilian teammate, Neymar Junior, at the club's state-of-the-art training complex, signalling the start of their training sessions together.
